CLARK Electric Forklift GEX16 / GEX18 / GEX20s 1600 – 2000 kg
Our safety features:
- Highly visible orange safety seat belt
- Automatic neutral position of the direction if the seat belt buckle is not closed
- Blue LED warning lights
- CLARK SafeView@360 camera system, so that the driver has everything in view around the truck
- When leaving the truck, the hydraulic functions are automatically deactivated
- CLARK ramp function prevents unintentional acceleration or rolling back on ramps
- Hydraulic accumulators ensure that loads are prevented from bouncing on uneven ground
Ergonomic operator compartment
The tiltable steering column can be adjusted to the operator needs. An optimal arrangement of chains and hoses allows a clear view of the load. The overhead guard bars allow excellent upward visibility. Furthermore a multi-coloured, high-contrast TFT display is part of the standard equipment of this series.
Low operating costs
Expensive gadgets that are unnecessary for most purposes are completely avoided. The result is very good value for money. In addition, all components are easily accessible for easy maintenance.
Side battery removal
A simple battery change is possible for leadacid batteries with the help of the optional side battery removal system (SBR). For side battery removal, a roller bed is installed in the truck. It is also possible to change the battery to suit individual needs. For example, batteries can be changed with the help of a hand pallet truck, a second forklift truck or via stationary battery change table.
An opening on the overhead guard or in the roof of the driver’s cab also ensures that a battery change can be carried out using a crane.

Cabins
Our cabin line-up includes the following:
- Rain protection (steel roof)
- Weather protection (steel roof and front windscreen)
- Partial cab (steel roof, front and rear windscreen and PVC side panel)
- Full cab
Driver’s compartment with plenty of legroom
Compared to other trucks in its class, the GTX/GEX series has an extremely spacious operator’s compartment with plenty of legroom and knee room. Nevertheless, there is still some space left to install storage compartments for documents.
Turning radius
With a steering angle of 101°, the four-wheel truck GEX16-20s turns almost on the spot like a three-wheel forklift. The inner front wheel runs in the opposite direction counter-rotating. This prevents the rear wheel from being pushed over the ground and the wear and tear is considerably less than with other trucks.
Adjustable hydraulic control layout
The truck can be operated either via adjustable mini-levers integrated in the armrest or via ergonomically arranged hydraulic levers on the hood of the truck. The drive direction can be changed via the steering column, a switch in the armrest, or via a dual pedal.
CLARK Lithium-Ion Power: Costs Down – Power On
Modern lithium-ion technology in perfect combination with cost-efficient trucks and a wide range of additional optional equipment to customize the forklifts is only available from CLARK! The result: When you invest in a GTX or GEX with a lithium-ion battery, you are choosing the best solution by far. It pays to switch to a counterbalance truck with a modern clean energy source. Thanks to ultra-fast charging times and zero maintenance, the lithium-ion forklifts can be used almost without a break. The power of the battery is always fully available, as lithium-ion batteries do not show any signs of fatigue. In addition, the service life of lithium-ion batteries is significantly longer than that of the lead-acid battery.
Make use of the advantages of CLARKs Li-Ion batteries
- Powerful lithium-ion battery with 460 Ah
- Short charging time thanks to a 48 volt (160 A) charger
- Double service life and maintenance-free batteries
- Opportunity charging is possible at any time
- No battery change required
- Various charging points can be installed directly where the unit is used, as no ventilated charging room is required
Lithium iron phosphate technology (LiFePO4)
CLARK batteries are based on the safe lithium-ion phosphate technology (LiFePO4). With LiFePO4 batteries, no oxygen is released during the chemical reaction within the cells. This means that there is no risk of spontaneous combustion or explosion of the battery. The battery consequently is very safe. Vehicles with lithium-ion phosphate batteries perform efficiently even in winter at low ambient temperatures and in summer. The service life of the lithium-ion battery is at least twice as long as the lead-acid battery, up to 2500 charging cycles. Depending on the application, this can be potentially doubled. In light/medium applications, the battery can be used for in excess of 10 years.
CLARK Lithium-ion chargers for counterbalance trucks
The chargers supplied by CLARK have an extremely stable housing construction with wall bracket for easy mounting. An LED display informs the operator about the battery’s charge status. The connection to the charger is made via a charging cable, which is within easy reach on the vehicle battery.
Intelligent Battery Management System (BMS)
The battery management system in the CLARK Li-Ion batteries communicates with the vehicle and the charger via a CAN bus interface. It informs the operator via display about the state of charge and the remaining runtime. In addition, the intelligent BMS ensures that the Li-Ion battery is neither deep discharged nor overcharged and thus contributes to a long battery life and efficient use of the industrial truck.
Intermediate charging
The Li-Ion battery can be opportunity charged without any problems, for example during breaks, without loss of capacity or damage to the battery. The battery cover does not have to be opened for this. The driver can connect the plug of the charger to the side of the Li-Ion battery. After only a short time, 50 % of the charge level is available again. Lead-acid batteries lose part of their capacity when not in use, during intermediate charging or when charging is interrupted. The complete charging process for counterbalance trucks with Li-Ion batteries is completed after approx. 2 hours, whereas it takes significantly longer for vehicles with lead-acid batteries.
